Another Ocean: Now at furthest point from home

During the night we rounded Cape Leewin and entered the warm and calm Indian Ocean. The sky changed from partly cloudy to clear with whispy high clouds, and the temperature is already 80 degrees now at 8 am and rising. It will be 96F today in Freemantle. We are now at our furthest point from home, 10,200 miles great circle. We arrive at Freemantle after lunch. We will be there overnight and until 5pm tomorrrow to explore Perth, an easy commuter train ride away. Will report in a few days as we head north to Boreo.
